Asin’s Housefull 2 has a record opening

Asin Thottumukkal is having a gala good time in Bollywood. The Kaavalan heroine, has kept her options open, saying that she will sign up for movies in Tamil and Telugu only if the script was worth a try.

Despite having a poor knock in Bollywood, post herGhajini, Asin’s new release in Housefull 2 has ushered in a lot of confidence for the southern belle. As part of promotions for the film, she even walked the ramp with her onscreen partner Akshay Kumar. The film graced halls on April 5th , releasing in record 2700 halls and collected well, in spite of the ongoing IPL show. Directed by Sajid Khan it had a long list of actors in Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Ritesh Deshmukh playing handsome men to their arm candies Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine Khan. The movie did receive flak having an overdose of dirty jokes inserted unnecessarily, even though things worked out well at multiplexes. With an average occupancy of 85 to 90 per cent, the film has got off to a flying start collecting close to 15 crores. A new record for the Hindi film industry, this year.
